Patent Support
INNOPARK-PDP Program Overview
The INNOPARK-PDP program aims to inform and encourage entrepreneurs, researchers, and faculty members in the region regarding the registration of intellectual properties, increase the number of national and international patent applications, and contribute to the protection of intellectual and industrial rights in the country, as well as the commercialization of knowledge through technology transfer.
Under the INNOPARK-PDP program, support is provided for national and international patent applications to businesses operating within the boundaries of the Konya Technology Development Zone and/or to employees who are Turkish citizens, based on inventions resulting from R&D activities conducted in the region. Faculty members and students from partner universities of InnoPark can also benefit from this support for their inventions arising from projects or research activities.
Companies within InnoPark, faculty members and students from partner universities, and up to three applications per year can benefit from the INNOPARK-PDP patent application support. In exceptional cases, faculty members and students from universities that are not partners with InnoPark may also benefit from this support upon a decision by the Executive Board of InnoPark Konya Technology Development Zone Management Inc. The application limit may be increased, or exceptions may be made.
The national patent applications supported by the program must be made to the Turkish Patent Institute, while international patent applications must be submitted through the Turkish Patent Institute or individually according to the provisions of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (WIPO) or the European Patent Convention (EPO).
Patent applications offered for partnership with Innopark Konya Technology Development Zone Management Inc. are supported under the INNOPARK-PDP program.
